Back from St Johns Island. Maung Thet took some pictures which I would post in my next post since I dun have it yet.
This camp is Organised by CampHA-
not camp haha is camp high achievers.

Anyway raining was quite frequent for this camp- First Day and Second Day rain, today(Last Day) sunshine so suay.

Day 1
Instructors go to HCI kkh go familiarise with us, Darren and I were in charge of 1E.Then we walk around collect their valuables like phones or wallets. They veh smart say dun have dun have the bus trip to Marina Pier got people see Singapore Flier meng take photo with their handphone worh=x. Soon we took ferry to St John's Island.

Go there liao we(Student Leaders[SL]) put our bags in the cage. First Activity- Make Group Flag/ Name I took Group 10(1E17-32). And so zai their name is called Emo. Darren's group were called Spartans so together 1E= emo spartans o.o

Halfway rain. Rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain rain. So we eat lunch. I think some Sec 1s a bit disappointed with their food. As quoted "the food was very little" but I think they should erm appreciate it. Only then they can widen their comfort zone. Oh ya I remembered before eat must do the hungry cheer lol.
"Hungry hungry, very very, Hungry very, very hungry..."

After lunch, Rain finally stop for a while. Then we want go pitch tents then "the lord of mighty hands" make it rain again we all chiong into jetty shelter. But so touching while it was pouring other SL go pitch tents in the rain then I realised I was inside facilating cheers when I suppose to go pitch tents. I think I gg by friends liao.

*But in the end my shoes got into the mud too*

Uhh wait my memory very bad I forgot some parts. I think its dinner after tent pitching. Dinner got different variety of food(a bit change from lunch) so quite good liao. Then rain. They squeeze into the cage and my bag squeezed like siao and cheer. But they got a bit out of hand but shan't talk about that.

First activity according to plan- Kidnapped! One volunteer from each class go volunteer themselves, but they dno they got kidnapped then the class need work together go find kidnapped guy. But throughout they quite not enthusiastic, but I think need time cos after a while their voices got higher and higher and higher. In the end we found the 2 keys needed and 1E was first (1Efficiency mah)

Then supper and sleep. Yay finally after a day of leading as SL.

Eh?!? Then some of us go bathe in the meantime. I queue up halfway then run back. We were pumped 40 for bathing w/o permission. Is he nver get his message across to us when to bathe or we misunderstood we do not know, but I think after that pumping we were much more alert. Then we bathe and some inflate floats for tomorrow's Water Rafting. When finally can sleep it was already 2.30am. Oops, state the wrong time in my previous sentence. Correction: Then we bathed and some inflated floats for today's Water Rafting. But 2.30am sleep one more hour need patrol round the Sec 1's dormitory(Sorry for spelling error where applicable). So sleep one hour, duty one hour, sleep 2 hour and its already 6.30 am. Rise and shine!

SECOND DAY

Wake up, head count(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...32) then we go eat breakfast. Got bun yet got people complain too little...Haiz..

Then I look forward to some fun activities la, but it neh rain but pour.

SO cheer and cheer. And station Activites .

Wah then dam miracle. The rain stop seh in time for us to prepare for Campfire. Something dam good cos I feel a bit sian after a while .

Then lunch. O.o the vegetables look similar to yesterday dinner the dumpling(fried) also similar but the rice got less black dots. But overall veh identical leh.

After lunch cheer again. Proed SL lead while the rest just cheer. We show them with our solid voices lol.

2pm
Water Rafting. Make raft with 7 floats which are supposed to fit 12 ppl. Erm 1E a bit messy at this point but nvm at least in the end they got a chance down the water.

4pm
Orienteering- Darren's specialty. I know nothing about it lol. But he say they dun use compass see by landmark wah sounds very chim. But walk here walk there, also quite fun lol.

Then last dinner(o.o first and last a total of 2) we eat at another basketball court. Eat and cheer for 1-2 hrs there dam zai, but sec 1s a bit less enthu. Suddenly I realised I become more enthu as a SL than as student lol.

Then we had a mini-briefing with instructors Eph and Am. We were rather good, at least we had some initiative, but we have to tune into camp mood together with the rest.

9pm
Campfire officially started, then got performance from every 2 classes(proed 3) . But the highlight for me is SL performance LOL. K nvm I not ego but we did it without rehearsals and did it well. This is because we are zai and our drills are practised everyday. But ncc is not all about drills its about cheering and hence:

" Banana,banana, hanging on the tree arh, long long one, short short one which one you do want? I want the long long one, you want the short short one, if you want the long long one, go pluck Andrew's one".

Then we did drills- sizing drill and hentataki, and ended off with a loud cheer.

The instructor's performance were good too. LOL of course.

Then everyone sleep and we deflate floats-.-

And briefing by Instructors Eph and Am say we're improved. Its nice knowing them haha.

Third Day

Nothing much. Clean up and part farewell.
Some reflections by Sec 1s:
"This camp gives little food and dirty toilets. I feel like a prisoner in a prison camp."

"The instructors are very nice."

"I enjoyed myself during this Sec 1 Camp."


Actually this camp I got learn a bit lah not so bad . Its a learning jouney, for e.g how to cope a day with 22 hours saigang and 2 hours sleep and something like that haha.

I hope we all did a good job.(Student Leaders)

Last part teachers talk to us, and the most striking thing I heard was strong willpower, ask ask and ask and we are like one solid solid solid metal that will not break. True True..Jiayou HCINCC!
