Back from Hwa Chong Institution National Cadet Corps Annual June Camp 2008. This camp more hiong than end of year, and I'm glad I endured through it, and as well as finally realised the pressure and how far I'm lagging behind, but nvm this part won't talk about.

Note: Some parts might have been left out or wrongly stated. Sorry for the inconvenience people like Chinyee have memory loss easily de.


First Day- 28th May
Part Bs fell in around 2 minutes late, then we were scolded, pumped etc. After which we were splited into six Sections, Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo and Foxtrot. I was allocated in Alpha, along with:

First Day Allocation. Alpha ic was Zac. and BOS was Qin Jiang wah imba seh.

0830-1045 h: ACTIVITY 1

That was company PT(60 pumpings), but we started late cos the starting muster parade took too long.

1215-1245 h: Lunch

Mess Tin, Stoves etc. Lol sometime since I cooked lucky never spill, although all maggi mee taken by Kenneth, so I drink up all the soup to make me full.

1300-1630 h: ACTIVITY 2

-Mutuals by Part Cs-. This time I learnt more sia, like 7 factors of judging distances and effective camouflaging etc lol. Very useful.

1630-1730 h: Physical Training

Supposed to do pull ups before eating.

1730-1815 h: Dinner

Eat packet food lol.

1815-1915 h: Bunk Cleaning

First bunk cleaning for the camp. Luckily all of us were pre-occupied with something, and we all cleaned the classroom with our best effort.

1915-2015 h: Bunk Check

Unfortunately we still had mistakes, but overall at least we cleaned the bunk much better, and especially the floor:)

2015-2100 h: Wash Up

Lol ok.

2200-0000h: (Supper was bananas) War Games.

This was exteemely disappointing for me, especially now. Since last year, I stone people kill me. This year I made up my mind not to stone. First round not bad, kill a person from each part except Part B. 2nd Round onwards dam qiang. First few to die-.- Lucky last round meng revive. But end up didnt kill anybody also die-.-

0030: Lights out

There was a debrief. SSG talked about goals, which was one of the reason how I endured through this camp.

Got fire drill. Not bad 2 mins 11 seconds. Though it was freezing cold.


Second Day-29th May


0715-0800 h: Physical Training

Company pumped 100.

Allocation. I was section ic, Tan Yang was BOS. Wah.

0845-1215h: ACTIVITY 3

Orienteering. Although I section ic didn't do a good job of keeping after my section, and we didn't run:( Next time must seriously do better. But overall good experience. Though never finish 4 checkpoints we were on time:)

Then there was company drill session and Part drill session. Ok la lol . Good experience and good cheers.

This time bunk cleaning and bunk check. We didn't get pumped, but we wrote mistakes down like yesterday, so that we can remember and change the 20 mistakes.

Lights out early.


Third Day- 30th May

Two main activities: Route March and N.E Trail

Route March from East Coast Park to Changi Village. 12km. Good job lol, and cheered, sang motivated, found joy in it.

N.E Trail.

Did 6 out of 14 checkpoints. Not bad considering we ran the last 2.2km improvement from orienteering. Good job Alpha:)

Bunk Check and Bunk Cleaning. Our worst, and worst punishment, but even the worst wasn't that bad. But so long as we learn hopefully the next ones will improve.


Solonite. I took Drama Centre a 2nd time lol. 3rd level this time. Not that bad:)

Day 4

Morning PT ran a bit more than 3.3km. Then POP and got 3 more badges:)
